Dawsoning

Dawsoning chronicles the life of Matt Dawson, Meg Haury, and their first son, Asher James Dawson. On top of providing the family with a place to publish the occasional story, this site also aggregates content we're uploading elsewhere. Specifically, updates from Twitter, photos from Flickr, and videos from YouTube.

This site was conceived, first and foremost, as a future present to young Ash. At least, as far as any site that documents the shameful geekitude of your parents when they were young and exposes your tiny, poo-besmirched hiney to the world can be considered a present.

Colophon

The Dawsoning logo is set in Felipe by Alejandro Paul. All design work was done on a Mac with the Adobe Creative Suite.

Dawsoning is built on the Django web framework and uses a modified version of the Django Syncr application for content aggregation. Extra crazy template tag wizardry was provided by the inimitable Jeff Croft (whose site provided much of the inspiration for Dawsoning's functionality and, let's face it, overall layout).
